National Domestic Preparedness Courses

Through its Alliance with Louisiana State University's (LSU) NCBRT Academy of Counter-Terrorist Education, a host of National Domestic Preparedness Courses are available to Academy members, at no cost and through the DHS Homeland Security National Training Program.

The National Center for Biomedical Research and Training (NCBRT) is a subunit of the Stephenson National Center for Security Research and Training (SNCSRT). LSU has established the SNCSRT to coordinate efforts in security, research and training. The University is currently a leader in providing training on anti-terrorism and counter-terrorism techniques and regularly supports projects initiated by state and federal law enforcement agencies.

The NCBRT is a member of the National Domestic Preparedness Consortium (NDPC), a partnership of public and private organizations, the majority academic, committed to serving emergency first responders by providing quality, cost-effective counter-terrorism training.

NCBRT has continued to evolve and expand by joining forces with other national partners, universities, and consortia to advance our mission. NCBRT gathers world-renowned teams of instructors and subject-matter experts who assist in providing teaching, training, technical assistance, and research to public and private entities, emergency response personnel, and government agencies. With this history of collaboration, NCBRT brings together national experts who contribute to curricula and course development, exercise development and delivery, and research.
