This was published in September of this year in the UK's Daily Express (https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/855360/uk-terror-fears-cruise-ship-sink-cyber-terrorist-hack-government), and referenced warnings made in a “Cyber Security for Ships” code of practice which was written by the Institution of Engineering and Technology. It remains relevant today and increasingly critical. It underlines the importance of predictive, offensive cybersecurity, vs. reactive or preventative "guards and gates." It should not be about vulnerability management, but rather the focus should be on cyber risk management and providing Actionable Situation Awareness. This is an area that the National Maritime Law Enforcement Academy is paying attention to. But what do you think? What is the next cyber threat to cruise ships.
