As many of you know, the SolarWinds cyberattack has directly impacted over 18,000 public and private sector organizations – and maybe even more. From US government to state and local agencies, and from financial and health sectors to manufacturing, transportation and energy sectors, mitigation costs are expected to run into the billions. To understand its impact specifically on the maritime transportation system and to begin mitigation strategies, the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), along with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), want to know how it is effecting you.
The Maritime Security Resilience Alliance (The Maritime & Port Security ISAO, Maritime ISAC, and the National Law Enforcement Academy) is working in coordination with the USCG and DHS, to hear and learn from you. A survey has been prepared to provide a vital snapshot to the Coast Guard and other federal agencies and you are invited to help us. Completely anonymous, the survey will provide some critical information points that the Coast Guard can share with other federal agencies, as we build response and mitigations strategies that can protect our Nation’s vital lifeline – the maritime domain.
